On 03/22/2022, DuPage County Sheriff’s Office deputies attempted to stop Jeremy Spicer near 475 South Frontage Road in Willowbrook. Deputies reported that Spicer exited his vehicle during the stop. Deputies opened fire during the encounter and shot him. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Illinois State Police Public Integrity Task Force began an independent investigation into the shooting.
