On 04/13/2022, Colton police responded to the 2000 block of North Rancho Avenue after reports of a man acting erratically and armed with a weapon. Officers located the man outside a residential property. Police reported that the man advanced toward officers while armed. Officers opened fire, striking and killing him at the scene. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department led the investigation.
