On 05/23/2022, Dayton Police Department officers responded to the 2100 block of Lynpark Avenue after reports of an armed individual. Officers encountered an adult female during the call. Police reported she was armed during the encounter. Officers discharged their firearms and shot her. She was transported to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation opened an independent investigation.
