On 06/16/2022, Greenville County Sheriff’s Office deputies went to the WoodSpring Suites at 64 Orchard Park in Greenville to take Jerry Willard Yancy into custody on active warrants tied to the June 15, 2022 killings of Ansel Bouchillon, 66, and Alice Bouchillon, 65, who were found shot to death inside their home on Hunter Road in Simpsonville. Deputies said they announced themselves at Yancy’s hotel room door and then heard a gunshot from inside the room. Deputies entered and found Yancy dead from what authorities described as an apparent self inflicted gunshot wound.
