OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 06/22/2022, Springfield Police went to the 1600 block of E Adams Street for a well being check after receiving information that Lydell Jackson intended to harm his former girlfriend. Officers found Cheryl Lamar, 57, dead inside a home in the 1600 block of E Adams Street. Police later located Jackson inside a home in the 1600 block of E Caravan Street and negotiated with him. After police entry, officers found Jackson dead from a self inflicted gunshot wound.
