On 06/23/2022, Orlando Police assisted the U.S. Marshals Service at the Mosaic at Millenia apartments in the 3700 block of Conroy Road while attempting to take 36-year-old Michael Green into custody on a New York warrant. Police stated Green barricaded himself inside an apartment and made suicidal threats. SWAT officers and crisis negotiators remained on scene for more than five hours. After negotiations failed, officers entered the apartment and found Green dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Reporting stated he also used the name Michael Edwards and had recently left a court appearance in Albany County, New York before traveling to Florida.
