OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 07/07/2022, Lanier County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a domestic dispute call at a camper on Courtney Way near Ray City. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation reported that as deputies approached, 54 year old Lisa Revello opened the door and someone inside the camper shot her. Deputies took cover and another gunshot was heard from inside. The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team entered the camper and found 54 year old Mark Joiner dead from an apparent gunshot wound. The Lanier County Sheriff’s Office requested the GBI Douglas Office to conduct the independent investigation.
