On 07/12/2022, Shelby County Sheriff’s Office deputies went to a residence in the 4100 block of Shadowbrook Drive to serve a warrant. A standoff followed. Authorities reported that Martavious Britton, 30, shot himself during the encounter. He was pronounced dead. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation reviewed the incident.
