OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 08/21/2022, Mount Healthy Police Department officers responded to a custody exchange dispute at an apartment on Lakeknoll Drive in Mount Healthy, just north of Cincinnati. Eric Johnson Sr barricaded himself inside the apartment bedroom with his 6-year-old daughter during the dispute. Officers attempted to make contact and gunshots were heard from inside the bedroom. A SWAT team later entered and found both Johnson and his daughter deceased; officers determined Johnson shot his daughter and then shot himself.
