OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 09/08/2022, Weber County Sheriff’s deputies responded around 6:25 p.m. to a report of a possible protective order violation at a residence in West Haven. Deputies determined the individual was inside the home alone and had a gun. Law enforcement established a perimeter and requested assistance from the Ogden Metro SWAT Team. Negotiators communicated with the individual for several hours before contact was lost and he barricaded himself inside a room. Early the following morning, SWAT officers entered the residence and found the man dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The individual’s name was not released.
