On 09/13/2022, Belgrade Police Department officers responded to a disturbance call at a residence in the 100 block of West Central Avenue involving Joshua John Holland, 39. Officers established a perimeter around the home after determining Holland had a gun and remained inside. A prolonged standoff followed while officers attempted communication. After several hours, law enforcement entered the residence and found Holland dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Authorities reported officers did not discharge their firearms during the incident. His identity was later released as Joshua John Holland of Belgrade.
