OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 09/22/2022, Hall County Sheriff’s Office deputies tracked a stolen vehicle from Lumpkin County into North Hall County near Hubert Stephens Road. Deputies located Michael Lee Adams in a wooded area after he left the vehicle and ran. As deputies closed in to take him into custody, Adams shot himself. He died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound during the encounter.
