OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 11/05/2022 in Jordan Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania State Police responded to a report of a female shooting victim and encountered Brian Taylor firing a rifle at vehicles and property following a domestic dispute. Taylor killed his wife, Linda Taylor, and then shot and killed his sister, Andrea Meek, and acquaintance Jerry Zehring at separate locations as he moved between Route 118 and Route 239. Troopers engaged Taylor, who was firing a rifle at passing cars and residences, and exchanged gunfire with him. Taylor was struck and died from gunshot wounds sustained during the exchange. The Lycoming County District Attorney later determined the troopers’ use of deadly force was justified.
