OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 11/10/2022, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies went to an apartment in the 2300 block of Cahuenga Boulevard in the Hollywood Hills to serve an eviction notice. After deputies knocked on the door, gunshots were heard from inside the unit. A standoff followed and crisis negotiators attempted to make contact while authorities shut down portions of the 101 Freeway for several hours. Deputies later entered the apartment and found the man deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
