A Monroe County sheriff's deputy fatally shot an individual during an alleged assault on 12/28/2024 in Exeter Township, Michigan. The incident began when the deputy responded to a report of a suspicious person on Hoffman Road in London Township. Shortly afterward, a similar report came in from Bluebush Road in Exeter Township. The deputy located the individual on Bluebush Road. The person reportedly began physically assaulting the deputy, who opened fire, killing the individual at the scene.
The deputy sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is conducting the investigation into the incident.

On 12/28/2024, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department officers responded to an armed disturbance call at Coyote Joe’s nightclub located in the 3000 block of Queen City Drive. Officers arrived and found a man with a gun. Police claimed that he did not comply with commands to drop the weapon. Officers escalated the situation and opened fire, killing the man. His identity has not been disclosed. The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation is handling the investigation.
