On 12/26/2022, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a disturbance in the 15000 block of Orange Street in Hesperia. Deputies encountered Jaime Flores during the response. According to the department, Flores had a gun during the confrontation and deputies opened fire. Flores was transported to a hospital where he died from gunshot wounds. The California Department of Justice was notified and the investigation was reviewed through the county’s officer-involved shooting protocol.
