On 08/11/2023, Garden Grove police officers responded to reports of gunfire inside a residence in the 12000 block of Homestead Place. Officers arrived and encountered an adult male inside the home. Police reported that the man exited the residence and shot himself in the head with a handgun as officers were present. He died from the self-inflicted gunshot wound. Authorities reported one handgun was involved. Police stated there were no reported injuries to others inside the home. The Garden Grove Police Department is investigating the incident.
