OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 08/08/2023, Savannah police officers responded to 606 West Park Avenue for an armed situation involving an adult male. Officers arrived and established a perimeter as the man remained inside the residence. Police initiated a standoff and issued commands while maintaining distance. During the confrontation with officers present outside, the man shot himself. He died from the self-inflicted gunshot wound. Authorities reported one firearm was involved. The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
