OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 08/05/2023, Arlington police officers responded to the 4100 block of April Drive after reports of a suicidal woman. Officers deployed SWAT resources and established a perimeter around the residence. The woman remained inside while officers attempted to negotiate during the standoff. During the confrontation with law enforcement outside, the woman shot herself. She died from the self-inflicted gunshot wound. Authorities reported one firearm was involved. The Arlington Police Department is reviewing the incident.
