OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 12/01/2023, Denver Police investigators executed a search warrant at an apartment on the 6800 block of East Iliff Avenue after receiving a tip that Ashworth had killed a woman in the city. When officers entered, they heard a gunshot coming from inside the unit. Officers located 26-year-old Keelynn Ashworth inside the apartment, deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Denver Police later identified the likely victim as 27-year-old Naudiaerella “Naudia” Wesley of Maine, whose body had not been found as of follow-up reporting. Police confirmed Ashworth’s death was self-inflicted and did not result from police gunfire. The homicide investigation remained active.
