On 11/28/2023, Glendale police responded to a domestic shooting at a home on Cochise Drive where a woman was found shot multiple times and transported to a hospital with life threatening injuries. Investigators identified 52 year old Scott McKervey as the partner involved in the incident. Authorities reported he fled the residence before officers arrived. Police later located his vehicle near 59th Avenue and Peoria Avenue. When officers approached, McKervey exited the vehicle with a firearm and shot himself. He was transported to a hospital but died from the self inflicted gunshot wound. Detectives stated the incident stemmed from a domestic dispute and confirmed the death was not caused by police gunfire.
