OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 11/18/2023, law enforcement responded to an incident involving Jashaune Moore following a homicide investigation connected to a Sebring apartment at 2180 Lakeview Drive where a 27 year old woman was fatally shot. Authorities later located Moore in Sunrise and established a perimeter as he barricaded himself during an extended standoff. Officers attempted to negotiate and take him into custody. During the standoff, Moore shot himself and died from the self inflicted gunshot wound. Police confirmed the fatal injury was not caused by officer gunfire and occurred while officers were actively attempting to resolve the situation.
