OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 06/15/2023, Cambridge police responded to a reported breaking and entering. Officers identified a 24-year-old man as the person involved, and he fled the initial location. Police later located him at his residence in the 400 block of Foster Avenue. When officers attempted to take him into custody, he fired at them from inside the home. Officers established a perimeter and initiated a standoff. After several hours, officers entered the residence and found the man dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
