A Sugar Land woman was killed in a domestic disturbance in front of arriving officers and the man who police believe shot her was found dead inside a burning house after a shootout with a police officer in the 4100 block of Issac's Way in the Chimney Stone subdivision. The woman had called police and said that boyfriend had pushed her and she wanted him out of house. Arriving police saw a woman and man running out of the house and the man then pulled out a handgun and shot the woman. The man pointed the gun in the officer's direction and fired at least one round. The officer shot back but the man ran back inside the house. He was found dead in the burnt house later.
