On 04/14/2023, Riverside County deputies conducted a search in the 22200 block of River Road in Perris. Deputies located a man and exchanged gunfire with him. Deputies shot and killed the man. During the exchange, gunfire also struck and killed a sheriff’s K9 named Rudy.
