Vallejo PD saw a Tyoyta Avalon they felt was connected to prior offenses and escalated a chase. The vehicle fled and police claim that they temporarily lost sight of it. When they saw it again, they made a U-turn to chase it. The driver accelerated, hit 2 cars and a pole. The bystander driver of one of the cars he hit died.
