Open records summary :

A man forced his way into an apartment with a gun but fled before police arrived. The same man was reported shortly thereafter to force his way into a grain elevator and feed mill where he worked. He again had a gun and said this was his last day and again left. In both appearances at the home and the business, he had not hurt anyone and from the description of behavior seemed to be in some sort of mental health crisis. Police found him walking in a field. It is unclear what kind of altercation took place but police allege that he fired a shot at them under unknown circumstances. Police fired several shots back and he fled. He was later found dead with a bullet in his head. Police allege that it was self0-inflicted but this is unconfirmed at this time, awaiting medical examiner’s evaluation.
