This victim is the first of 2 casualties that are the result of a high-speed police chase. The other victim is listed as Jack Lee Brown.

On 10/07/2023, Kern County Sheriff’s Office officer Amanda Plugge escalated a high-speed against 31-year-old Jack Lee Brown who was driving a Geo. The driver being chased lost control and crashed into 2 motorcycles, a Yamaha and a BMW who were coincidental third-party motorists on the road. The motorcyclist on the BMW died and this page serves to document his death.

The Geo spun out of control after collision with the 2 motorcycles and in a second collision, officer Amanda Plugge who had evidently not observed a safe distance when hunting Jack Lee Brown in the Geo, hit the Geo, killing Brown. Deputy Plugge was not hurt but her chase created 2 fatalities and 1 serious injury. Kern County Sheriff’s Office did not give any reason for initiating the chase which police almost always do first if they can justify their actions. No reason or indication for urgency that may be warranted to escalate a dangerous chase is being given by police who have no comment thus far why this multi-fatality chase was undertaken in the first place. The crash occurred on State Route 178 near Kelso Valley Road at 11:44 p.m. on 10/07/2023.

Walker County deputies were called by a woman who said her brother would not let her back into the house. Walker County deputies arrived and the man retreated to his bedroom and closed the door. Deputies forced their way into the bedroom and the man allegedly fired a shot, injuring a deputy. They shot and killed him. The deputy is stable.

Portland Police Bureau chased a stolen Kia and put down spike strips, causing the Kia to slam into one of the police vehicles trying to crash the driver. Gilberth A Colli-Garma, the driver, was critically injured in the crash and died a month later from injuries.

A person locked themselves into a trailer when Navajo Nation Police arrived to investigate a “shots fired” call. Police called SWAT which besieged the trailer for hours until flames were seen coming out of it after police fired flashbangs and apparently set the RV on fire. The man emerged from the trailer and allegedly had a gun. Police shot and killed him.

The Cut Bank PD responded to a violation of a protective order on Fifth Avenue Southwest. Police allege that they arrived and the man tried to avoid the confrontation by leaving in his vehicle and allegedly “confronted” them with a rifle. They shot and killed him.

A Snohomish County deputy stopped a vehicle that police felt was involved in possible auto theft. When the traffic stopped the vehicle and asked the mail driver to exit the car, a female in the passenger seat moved to the driver seat and drove away. Police chased her until the I-5 and Route 428 where she crashed into a tree, rolled the vehicle and died.

Auburndale PD located a car they felt may be stolen and escalated a chase. The Kia crashed in an onramp and the officer tasered the driver. Five more officers arrived and unleashed a K9 on the man who fought off the K9 and allegedly threatened police with a knife. It is not reported that he tried to harm the attacking dog or the police with whatever knife police allege he held. Police shot and killed him. Taylorsville police were called to a domestic violence situation. A woman and infant escaped but the husband, Joseph Potts, was still inside of the house. Police brought SWAT and began bearing down on Potts who fired shots from inside of the house at police. Police shot and killed him.

The multi-agency Northern Michigan Mutual Aid Task Force Emergency Response Team arrived at a residence in Norwich Township to arrest a woman for reasons police did not disclose. Police allege that when they arrived, they found her armed. They shot and killed her.

A man forced his way into an apartment with a gun but fled before police arrived. The same man was reported shortly thereafter to force his way into a grain elevator and feed mill where he worked. He again had a gun and said this was his last day and again left. In both appearances at the home and the business, he had not hurt anyone and from the description of behavior seemed to be in some sort of mental health crisis. Police found him walking in a field. It is unclear what kind of altercation took place but police allege that he fired a shot at them under unknown circumstances. Police fired several shots back and he fled. He was later found dead with a bullet in his head. Police allege that it was self0-inflicted but this is unconfirmed at this time, awaiting medical examiner’s evaluation.

A Las Cruces patrol officer was on a “proactive bicycle patrol” just before 5 a.m. on 10/03/2023 near the 1300 block of Burley Court when he “made contact “with a woman who was driving a black 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer.

In the bodycam footage linked below, the officer is seen approaching the parked vehicle in a well-lighted parking lot in which Teresa Gomez and a male sat. The officer is immediately rude, curses and threatens Gomez, demands to know her "fucking name", threatens and curses at her throughout, asks questions and does not allow her to answer. Ms. Gomez is polite throughout the lengthy ordeal of being berated, threatened and cursed at in the bodycam footage. The officer then begins to threaten her passenger, insists that he knows the man is not supposed to be at that location, something he had accused Ms. Gomez of before who did not seem to know what the officer was referring to. Ms, Gomez is very nonconfrontational, remains polite throughout the exchange even when she is threatened and insulted by the officer. When the officer begins his verbal assault barrage against the passenger, Ms. Gomez, without saying a word, starts the car and backs out of the parking space.

The officer had made threats that they were not supposed to be there, would be arrested if they merely replied to him and she was attempting to leave the parking lot in a civil manner away from the officer who was vbisibly looking for a victim. When she backs away from the parking lot to escape the confrontation, the officer fires several shots at her while driving, killing her. She had been polite, cooperative, unarmed and entirely appropriate and seemed to only want to escape the abuse when she was clearly told that the officer prohibited them from being parked in the area.

A Harrisburg PD police vehicle was on the way to an unknown call and driving at an unknown speed when it collided with a 2000 Mercury Sable on Holly Street and 19th Street. Marion Sable, the front seat passenger, died in the crash. The driver wandered off and was not immediately located per police.

On 17/07/2023, the family complained publicly that more than one month had gone by since the accident and police had not provided them with answers and were refusing to give them the crash report. It is unknown which officer was driving and whether they had lights and siren, whether this was confirmed to be a priority call, the speed the officer was traveling at or any other details.

Austin PD were called to the 12300 block of Research Blvd for a person in the roadway. Police allege that he hit himself several times with a metal object. Police arrived and attacked him with a taser. He was taken to the hospital and died.

Donald Bonner Jr. was allegedly in his backyard firing a gun when police were sent. He allegedly got into a spat with them and according to police, he uttered verbal threats to kill police but he is not reported as making hostile gestures and instead went inside of his house in a gesture that he wanted no conflict with police. Police invited Georgia State Patrol and a SWAT team to the home to serve Bonner with warrants for either firing shots in his backyard or issuing alleged verbal threats to police. Several law enforcement agencies besieged the home with militarized SWAT. Police saw Bonner behind his own home, allegedly with a gun. Police shot and killed him. Throughout this ordeal, it does not appear that he was a physical threat to police and he seemed to only want to retreat after whatever he said that escalated police into this killing.

On October 2, 2023, at around 11:30 p.m., the Dare County Sheriff’s Office responded to a trespassing in progress call in the 1300 block of Burnside Road in Manteo. When police arrived, they shot and killed a person, alleging they had had a knife. No more information has been released thus far.

His family strongly disputes police trespassing claims, stating that the address where he was killed is a family residence where he had been going for years. He had been under great stress because his 18-year-old daughter had been found dead on a hiking trail the year prior. His family states that he had known mental health issues but that he was not a violent person.

A Virginia State trooper saw a motorcycle commit a moving violation and escalated a chase against the driver and hunted the motorcycle at high speed until it crashed into a guardrail, was thrown at the trooper and collided with the patrol car. Two Mobile PD officers were sent to a vacant home because a man was walking on the roof. Police talked him off the roof and allege that he suddenly pulled a shotgun with a pistol grip. They shot and killed him. It is highly unlikely that BWC will be released because Alabama has virtually abolished open records laws and transparency in 9/2022.

Pennsylvania State Police tried to traffic-stop a vehicle on the I-76. He vehicle did not stop and PSP escalated a chase that led to the vehicle crashing into a concrete barrier, hitting another car and rolling several times down an embankment. A 15-year-old boy passenger was killed. The 14-year-old girl who had been driving the car police claim was stolen is being charged with vehicular homicide.

Washington Court House police stopped a vehicle at about 6 p.m. on 10/01/2023 for a traffic violation on the 400 block of Gregg Street. The vehicle stopped. Tim West ran from the vehicle. Washington Court House police started a foot chase. The man was cornered in an area he could not escape and tasered. He fell to the ground and died from a medical emergency. Police have made no claims that he had been armed or posed a threat to them. He appears to have been killed for nothing more than a traffic infraction and fleeing due to likely conditioned fear of police.
In the footage, the responding officer who fired the Taser can be heard telling another officer who arrives on scene, “I accidentally got him in the head with the Taser,” when another officer arrives on scene. He also added that West had “hit his head.” The taser probe was still stuck to his head. According to Taser safety guidelines published online by Reuters, the risk of seizures increases when the device’s electric current passes through the head. West had no criminal record and had recently moved to Ohio from Florida.

The officer’s name was not disclosed and Marsy’s law was invoked to keep him anonymous. Marsy’s Law was created to protect the identities of crime victims but this law is commonly abused by police to hide the identities of officers who kill.

Per GBI’s website, Clayton County PD claim that on Sunday, October 1, 2023, a CCPD officer was near Kendrick Road in Jonesboro, GA when he saw Richard Preston Johnson, 35, motioning his hand towards the officer as if he were pointing a gun at him. The officer approached him and he ran away. The officer chased Johnson behind a home. Police allege that behind the house, Johnson pointed it towards the officer.
