NARRATIVE:
On 05/26/2021, an unidentified man was killed when the motorcycle he was riding crashed near U.S. Highway 36 and Seip Road in Parke County, Indiana, after he drove away from a Parke County Sheriff's deputy attempting a traffic stop.

The encounter began near U.S. Highway 36 and State Road 59. The deputy attempted to stop the motorcycle, but the rider accelerated away at high speed and the deputy followed.

The deputy lost sight of the motorcycle. While checking the area, the deputy later found debris in the roadway near U.S. Highway 36 and Seip Road and then located the motorcycle and rider in a ditch.

The deputy attempted lifesaving treatment until additional emergency personnel arrived. The rider was pronounced dead at the scene. Contemporary reports did not publicly identify him.
