NARRATIVE:
On 02/20/2022, 33-year-old Kennithia Zaerica Williams of Atlanta was killed when the 2007 Toyota Corolla she was driving left Thompson Road, overturned and struck a tree during a pursuit by a Pike County Sheriff's Office deputy in Upson County.

The pursuit began with a Pike County sheriff's deputy and continued into Upson County. During the pursuit, Williams was reported to be driving at speeds exceeding 100 mph.

Williams was traveling with 35-year-old passenger Kandace Savignol. On Thompson Road, Williams lost control of the Toyota. The car left the roadway, overturned and crashed into a tree. Williams was ejected and killed.

Savignol survived the crash but suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center for treatment.
