On 03/26/2022, an unidentified driver was killed along with an unidentified passenger when a GMC SUV crashed during a Texas Department of Public Safety pursuit on Interstate 35 in Webb County.

The pursuit began at approximately 2 p.m. on Interstate 35. During the pursuit, the driver lost control of the GMC SUV near mile marker 38 and the vehicle rolled multiple times.
