NARRATIVE:
On 04/15/2022, an unidentified male driver was killed when his vehicle crashed during a Conroe Police Department pursuit on State Highway 75 in Montgomery County.

Shortly after 6 p.m., Conroe police were pursuing the vehicle northbound on State Highway 75. As the pursuit continued between Meador Road and FM 830, the vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a sign in front of a tire business.

The driver was killed in the crash. Authorities closed State Highway 75 between Meador Road and FM 830 for several hours while investigators processed the scene. The roadway remained closed as of approximately 10 p.m. that evening.

The fatal pursuit was subsequently included in the Houston Chronicle’s review of Houston-area police-pursuit deaths during 2022. The Chronicle independently documented that a man died in Conroe on April 15 after crashing while being pursued by police.
