NARRATIVE:
On 05/05/2022, an unidentified male motorcycle rider was killed when the motorcycle he was riding collided with another vehicle following a Hemet Police Department pursuit in Hemet.

At approximately 10:30 a.m., a Hemet Police Department motorcycle officer was conducting speed enforcement when he observed the rider traveling west on Mayberry Avenue. Police said the rider ran the stop sign at Panorama Drive. The officer followed and attempted to stop him.

Police said the rider accelerated away at high speed, and the officer initiated a pursuit. Hemet police alleged the pursuit was discontinued because of the motorcycle's speed and concerns for public safety.
