Upon arriving, the man was reportedly armed. After entering his vehicle, he returned outside holding a handgun, which he pointed at the officers. The officers shot and killed him. When an event was hosted at the Bravo hookah lounge for Kayas Kitchen on 10/27/2024, Day’shaun Colen was seen in a crowd on security video holding a door open to help employees enter the premises. A bystander is seen, grabbing him by the neck and stomach, and one of two armed security guards working for Apex Tactical Security started an altercation for unknown reasons. One of the officers pulled out a weapon and shot and killed Colen. The officer was apparently upset because during the altercation that security themselves started, one of the officers hit their head against the glass door. After that, when Colen was already detained, the guard pulled out a gun and deliberately shot and killed him. After gravely injuring Colen, the guard apparently did not help him, but instead helped another bystander look for a lost ring. The friends of Colen put him in the vehicle and drove him to the hospital themselves as security was of no help.Colon had been unarmed and was attacked by security leading to his death. He was the father of three little girls and was well loved by a very large family.

On the afternoon of October 26, 2024, James Marshall was seen walking through Carmel-by-the-Sea carrying what appeared to be an AR-15 rifle and a crowbar. Police responded to a call reporting a "man with a gun," and officers quickly arrived on scene. Officers Rene Guevara and Gerald Maldonado confronted Marshall. The situation escalated quickly, and both officers fired their weapons, fatally striking Marshall. On October 26, 2024, Fresno Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert for gunfire in the area of S 8th Street and E Verrue Avenue. Approximately an hour after officers arrived, Andy Morales, identified as the presumed shooter, returned to the location. Police reported that Morales fired a shot at an officer, injuring them. In response, the officer shot Morales, who later died from his injuries. The officer who was injured was transported to the hospital, but is expected to recover.

Elroy Clarke was engaged in a dispute with a man who had been staying at his home for three months. There have been problems and he wanted the man to leave. An altercation took place and Charlotte County deputies arrived. Elroy Clarke had allegedly had an FTA warrant for a trespassing charge and police arrived at a fight he had with an unwanted person at his home to wanting to arrest him for failure to appear in court for the trespassing charge. A Goodyear PD officer with emergency lights ran a red light at unknown speed, hit and killed motorcyclist Jacob Vela. The officer’s speed was unknown. Rodriguez had allegedly threatened to harm himself and his wife, Karla Rodriguez, during a mental health crisis. Deputies escalated the situation into a standoff that lasted several hours, during which Rodriguez retreated inside the residence.

On October 23, 2024, at approximately 7:30 AM, Sardis police were dispatched to 1415 Sardis Rd. at Sardis Middle School in response to a disturbance involving a parent, Daniel Sullivan, who allegedly became confrontational in the congested school drop-off lane. Upon arrival, officers encountered Sullivan, who then fled the scene in a vehicle. The Sardis officer escalated the pursuit, which led through multiple roadways before ending at Sullivan’s residence on Lawson Gap Road. Sullivan exited the vehicle, and an altercation occurred. Police allege that shots were exchanged, but no specifics have been released regarding weapons or body-worn camera footage. Sullivan was shot and killed by an officer whose name is being withheld. The Etowah County Sheriff's Office is conducting the investigation.

On October 22, 2024, just before 5:00 p.m., Lawrenceville Police Department investigators located Terrell Laron Hoggro, 59, at the Quality Inn on Northeast Expressway in Chamblee, Georgia. Hoggro was wanted on multiple felony warrants, including charges of armed robbery, kidnapping, aggravated assault, and weapons offenses related to recent armed robberies in Lawrenceville. As officers conducted surveillance and coordinated resources for his arrest, Hoggro exited a motel room. Officers immediately attempted to arrest him. Hoggro drew a handgun from his waistband and raised it toward the officers. Lawrenceville Police Department officers fired at Hoggro, striking him. Hoggro was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is conducting an independent investigation, and the case file will be submitted to the DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office for review.
