On 12/13/2024, Colorado Springs Police officers were sent to a report of a suicidal man near the 3800 block of Astrozon Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers encountered an adult male in a vehicle with a handgun. Officers contained him at the location, amassed numerous officers, K9s and police surrounded him and pressured him for 45 minutes. Officers fired beanbags at him. He emerged from his truck with a gun to his head. When he was hit by beanbag rounds, he fired 2 rounds in the general direction of police after being hit. He was shot by dozens of police bullets by 8 officers and died. Three of the eight shooter officers were involved in a combined total of 4 prior shootings before shooting Dean Ackerman. October 2024 Incident: Officer Bartron was involved in a shooting on October 7, 2024, in the Stetson Hills area. The victim, identified as 41-year-old Matthew D. Kemper, allegedly charged at officers with a knife and was subsequently shot.

February 2023 Incident: Officer Nelson was involved in a shooting on February 6, 2023, at The Grove Apartments. The victim, identified as 44-year-old Evan Wollert, allegedly threatened officers with a shotgun and was shot after failing to comply with commands.

On December 13, 2024, at approximately 6:00 p.m., Tempe Police Department officers attempted to arrest a 32-year-old man with felony drug warrants at a Circle K gas station near Rural and Baseline roads in Tempe, Arizona. The man drove away from the scene but exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot.

On 12/13/2024, at approximately 11:59 p.m., 67-year-old Newell Mock fatally shot a man inside a residence in the SweetBay neighborhood of Panama City, Florida. He also shot a woman multiple times; she survived and was transported to a local hospital. Two children, aged 5 and 7, were present during the incident but were unharmed. When officers from the Panama City Police Department arrived, they found Mock armed and standing on the front porch. As officers attempted to de-escalate the situation, Mock took his own life. The Panama City Police Department is investigating the incident.

At approximately 5:12 a.m. on December 12, 2024, Tyrence LaVon Vann was struck by a marked Greensboro Police Department vehicle traveling westbound on East Wendover Avenue near Summit Avenue. Emergency responders transported Mr. Vann to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

On 12/12/2024, 26-year-old Kenneth Montaner-Buscampell was found unresponsive, lying on his back on top of a table in the housing unit at the MacDougall-Walker Correctional Institution in Suffield, Connecticut. An emergency code was called at 7:19 a.m., and staff members responded to the scene. The state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled his death a homicide by asphyxiation. Montaner-Buscampell was serving a two-year sentence for a fourth-degree sexual assault conviction.

On 12/10/2024, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Santiago Gutierrez, 29, was fatally shot by police during an incident on Cameron Street. Robert L. Brooks, a 43-year-old Black male, was fatally beaten by multiple correctional officers at Marcy Correctional Facility in Marcy, New York, on 12/09/2024. While handcuffed with his hands behind his back, Brooks was escorted into a medical examination room where officers punched, kicked, and dragged him by his neck. Body-worn camera footage captured the violent assault in detail.
Brooks sustained severe injuries, including facial bruising, a broken nose, neck hemorrhaging, and other blunt force trauma. The Onondaga County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled his death as asphyxiation due to neck compression. In response, 13 correctional officers and a nurse were suspended without pay, and one officer resigned. Greene, concluding with the phrase "VIVA VIVA PALESTINA." which according to police was "traced to a "Russian IP address", referenced Palestine and led to a high-priority response, including a bomb squad dispatched to Greene’s residence. IP addresses are easy to change and the email appears to have been a hoax.

During the response, an officer driving his personal vehicle crashed into Ms. Pickelsimer's car. Emergency responders pronounced Ms. Pickelsimer dead at the scene. The officer sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The bomb squad later confirmed that there was no active threat at Rep. Greene’s residence. This incident marks one of several threats and swatting calls targeting Rep. Greene, who reported at least nine such incidents.
