On 06/11/2022, 67-year-old Paul Henry Joseph Rodrigue of Canaan was killed when his motorcycle crashed on Route 201 in Winslow after a Maine State Police trooper attempted to stop him for speeding.

Shortly before the crash, a Maine State Police trooper observed Rodrigue speeding on Route 201 in Vassalboro. The trooper activated the patrol vehicle's emergency lights and siren. Police said Rodrigue accelerated away at a high rate of speed.
