NARRATIVE:
On 06/15/2022, an unidentified 49-year-old woman was killed after fleeing from a Harris County Precinct 6 deputy and attempting to cross the Gulf Freeway near Telephone Road in Houston.

Shortly before the collision, police were called to a nearby McDonald's concerning a woman reportedly causing a disturbance and harassing people. A Harris County Precinct 6 deputy confronted the woman, and she fled on foot.

A witness reported seeing the woman run along a fence line. The deputy returned to his patrol vehicle and attempted to locate her but was unable to find her.

The woman subsequently crossed the southbound side of the freeway area and attempted to cross the northbound lanes. At approximately 5:10 a.m., she entered the northbound lanes of the Gulf Freeway near Telephone Road and was struck by a gray Chevrolet Malibu driven by a 20-year-old man.
