NARRATIVE:
On 09/07/2022, a 50-year-old Connecticut woman was killed when her Ford Focus crashed into a utility pole during a Pennsylvania State Police pursuit in Chester Heights.

At approximately 1 a.m., troopers found the running Ford in a Concord Township parking lot. A registration check showed that both the vehicle and driver had been reported missing and endangered in Connecticut. The woman was initially unresponsive inside the vehicle.

Police said she awoke when troopers tapped on the window and appeared to be experiencing a mental health crisis. She drove away, reversed into a State Police vehicle and traveled north in the southbound lanes toward oncoming traffic.

Troopers continued following with emergency lights and sirens. The woman returned to the northbound lanes before crashing head-on into a utility pole on Valleybrook Road. She was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.
