Near the intersection of 10 Mile and Dequindre Roads, one of the fleeing Chargers collided with a Jeep Cherokee making a left turn. The passenger of the Jeep, 42-year-old Katrina Shamoon Shuker Michael, suffered fatal injuries. The driver of the Jeep and occupants of the Charger sustained injuries and were transported to a local hospital. The second fleeing Charger continued and was later located; its driver was arrested.

On June 29, 2024, around 1 a.m., Coweta County Sheriff's deputies responded to multiple 911 calls reporting gunshots on Crabapple Court in Sharpsburg, Georgia. Upon arrival, deputies discovered two bodies in the driveway and another in the doorway of a residence. As officers approached, 32-year-old Brandon D. Suckow, identified as the shooter, retreated into the house. Deputies then heard a gunshot from inside.
