NARRATIVE:
On 09/10/2022, 24-year-old Waldir Adonay Hernandez-Monge of Maryland was killed when a stolen Dodge Challenger Hellcat crashed in the 7000 block of Allentown Boulevard/US Route 22 in West Hanover Township.

Pennsylvania State Police said the Hellcat had been stolen in Delaware the previous night and had previously fled from troopers at high speed when they attempted a traffic stop. At approximately 5:20 a.m., the Hellcat left the roadway while traveling at high speed.

Hernandez-Monge and 25-year-old Oscar Ronaldino Salvador were ejected and died at the scene. A third occupant, 28-year-old Elio Alarcon-Ozoia, survived. State Police did not publicly establish which occupant was driving.

Hernandez-Monge was the eldest son of Rosa Alba Monge and Genaro Hernandez. His family described him as a young man with a big heart who was especially close to his younger brother and family. A fundraiser was established to help his parents with funeral and burial expenses.
