NARRATIVE:
On 12/28/2022, an unidentified man was killed after being struck by a vehicle on U.S. Highway 80 in Wood County, Texas, while Wood County sheriff's deputies were pursuing him on foot.
According to Texas Department of Public Safety Sgt. Adam Albritton, Wood County sheriff's deputies were chasing the man on foot when he entered Highway 80. A passing vehicle struck him, causing fatal injuries.
