OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 04/26/2024, San Antonio Police Department officers responded at approximately 8 p.m. to a restaurant in the 3400 block of Fredericksburg Road after callers reported that Kevin Boothe Barrett, 38, was throwing objects and removing his clothes.

Officers found Barrett across the street, unclothed from the waist down and underneath a vehicle. Police removed Barrett from beneath the vehicle and handcuffed him.

Shortly after being handcuffed, Barrett became unresponsive. Officers administered Narcan and requested emergency medical assistance. EMS personnel attempted resuscitation, but Barrett was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office performed an autopsy. Contemporary reporting stated that the cause of death remained pending additional testing.
