NARRATIVE:
On 01/12/2024, a 19-year-old man was killed when the stolen vehicle he was driving crashed during a Houston Police Department pursuit on the entrance ramp from the Gulf Freeway to the South Loop.

At approximately 12:55 a.m., Houston police officers observed a stolen vehicle near the Gulf Freeway and Park Place Boulevard and attempted to stop it. The driver fled at a high rate of speed and continued onto the Gulf Freeway. While attempting to exit onto the South Loop, he lost control, struck the left barrier and the vehicle rolled several times.

The driver was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. A 16-year-old male passenger was also killed. Two other passengers, an 18-year-old male and 16-year-old female, were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
