OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Deputy Albert Johnson of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office was sent on a call about an upset woman who was kicking her neighbor’s door to find his wife. It is unknown what the upset was. Samantha Belk was a homeowner having some sort of spat with her neighbor. Police arrived and she retreated to her home. It is unknown why police insisted on pursuing her into her home and what police said to provoke her when she was inside of her home but she allegedly used profane language toward police and she allegedly said she had a gun. Police did not disclose detail but at some point, she allegedly opened her front door with a gun. Officer Albert Johnson shot and killed her. No BWC can be found to review the police narrative.
