Police claim he had a knife. Still awaiting BWC or other evidence to back up or disprove official claims. The family challenges the narrative, says he was treated "like an animal" and wants to face the shooter officer. He had been an immigrant from Guinea and leaves a traumatized family behind who are protesting NYPD.
