A Franklin County deputy working a special assignment at Walgreen's claimed that shots were fired outside of the store. The unnamed deputy and an unknown number of other deputies from Franklin County Sheriff's Office and Columbus Division of Police responded and shot and killed the man. He was never identified publicly and all names of shooter officers were shielded by Marsy's Law by both the Columbus Division of Police and Franklin County Sheriff's Office.
