San Joaquin deputies found a vehicle parked on highway 99 and East Frontage Road and decided the vehicle was suspicious for undisclosed reasons. Police unleashed their K9 on the man who fought back with a knife, lacerating the dog’s face. Police shot and killed him. Police have not disclosed why they approached so aggressively with an attack dog or what the nature of the warrant was.
