Sacramento police chased a man for unknown reasons on the highway, escalated a chase on the I-80 until the man crashed into a motorcycle on the freeway, then crashed the vehicle with numerous police vehicles including K9 units hunting after him. The man emerged from the vehicle with a knife according to police. They shot and killed him. The crash also severely injured third party motorcyclist was sent to the hospital with unknown outcome.
