Police allege that they were called to a home, did not elaborate on the reasons, did admit that they created a 3-hour standoff, apparently involving numerous LEOs and that at the end, they shot and killed Joseph Tyler Goodson. It is not known what prompted what sounds like a SWAT standoff, whether he was armed or what happened. Goodson was arrested once before for domestic violence and again for killing his brother’s dog. Goodson had been a well-known and globally popular podcaster, host of the “S-Town podcasts” that are linked below. His podcast series S-Town was downloaded 40 million times in 115 countries.
