OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Horry County Police officers responded to the Roadside Inn on Highway 17 Business around 9 p.m. Sunday for a call regarding a disorderly tenant, bringing SWAT along. A tense standoff against Washington ensued over the alleged disturbance which led to shots being fired. Washington was shot and killed by a combination of Horry County deputies, SLED, SWAT, Surfside PD and South Carolina Highway Patrol.No officers were charged.
