Event : Killed by police after shooting gun at home
OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Lucas County Dispatch received a call from a woman reporting that her husband was shooting a gun around 12:30 a.m. on 01/25/2023. When officers arrived, the woman and adult son had escaped to the roof and the man was in the home alone. Police allege that he then began walking towards officers and pointed the shotgun at them. An unknown number of officers shot and killed him. The coroner reported that he had been shot 22 times in the head, torso, left arm and both legs and ruled his death a homicide. No officers were charged.
